Lea Salonga’s Two Words Music Score with Violin and Cello

Saturday, March 13th, 2010

There were requests to have this song written with violin and cello part. To be honest, I seldom listen back to my works after I’ve posted the sheets online. I’ll be always looking forward to new songs ahead.

Seeing that there are some requests for this song, I’ve included these two new instruments and left the piano accompaniment untouched.

This is the preview of this music score:

It’s spring again!

Monday, February 8th, 2010

It’s less than 2 weeks to Chinese New Year!

In order to honour the late singer of this Chinese New Year song, I’ve chosen this song called “Spring returns to the earth”/ “Spring comes around”/ “It’s spring again” – 大地回春 (Whatever, you know what I mean)

Wu Ying Yin (吴莺音) is famous of her nasal voice because it made her singing unique and distinguishable. I believe not many young people like me appreciate Chinese oldies nowadays. Wu Ying Yin was famous in the 1940s, which was the era where songs were recorded with live bands. I don’t really think singers can publish records if they are not good enough back then.

I personally prefer Chinese New Year oldies than those with fire-crackers and Chinese Raps in between.

You still have one whole week to practise it.

Love of My Life – Jim Brickman (Request)

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

When I see this request, I thought it is Emil Chou’s version of Love of My Life. I googled and found that there are more. There is another song of this name by Queen.

Jim Brickman’s version however, is always the all-time favourite for pianists.

Jim Brickman Love of My Life album

It’s a shame to confess that I only knew Jim Brickman through a compilation album that I’ve bought in Singapore 5 years back. Even that time I did not pay much attention to his song because there are other nice songs in that album.

Maybe it’s because that song isn’t “Love of My Life”. Had this song been included in that album, I might have been in love with him since then.

To my relief, this song is not as difficult as I expected. It would be a very good example of a well composed song without complicated arrangement.

About this piano sheet:

1) It’s in original key: C Major and transposes to Eb Major briefly.

2) Lyrics and chords are included.

3) Vocal solo and piano accompaniment are separated into 2 parts.

It’s a good choice to perform this song during wedding banquets (It’d be better if the bride and groom perform it). Fear not, the piano sheet is ready for you to practise:

Spending Singapore National Day with SpongeBob SquarePants

Sunday, August 9th, 2009

I have a new friend, his name is SpongeBob SquarePants!

Spongebob Squarepants Family

Oooo…how cute~

This year’s national day, I am afraid that I have to stay at home partly due to the notorious H1N1 virus. But still, it doesn’t mean that I am not celebrating the national day with the rest of the fellow Singaporeans. Firstly, today is a holiday (although we will have another replacement holiday tomorrow); secondly, a national day is still a day worth remembering for gaining its independence.

One thing special on this year’s national day: I am spending it with SpongeBob! 🙂

When I found myself so addicted to this fictional animated comedy, it’s already no doubt that I am an adult with a kid’s heart. I laughed so hysterically in every episodes and kept revising that every funny scenes. Oh, I am so helplessly in love with Spongebob!

To remember this special day that I watched the SpongeBob series, I made this piano sheet:

This extremely short piano sheet is in its original key, i.e. G Major. Lyrics and chords are included.

Ermm…sorry guys, but you’d have to imitate the start phrase (in French accent) by yourself before entering the melody. Just like how the cartoon begins:

Pirate in Spongebob Squarepants

Captain: Are you ready kids?
Kids: Aye Aye Captain.
Captain: I can’t hear you.
Kids: Aye Aye Captain
Captain: OHHHHHHH

Without any delay, play this piano sheet below and sing your SpongeBob SquarePants theme.

Arrival to Earth (Transformer Theme)

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

When I first watched the Transformer Movie, I’ve never thought that my childhood cartoon can be turned into a violent and serious movie.

Transformer Movie Poster

There was war, blood, sacrifice, heroism and of course, lots of actions. When the Transformers rarely speak, they DO look and behave like alien. After revising the cartoons after I watched this movie, I began to realize the difference: The transformers in the old-favourite cartoon speak a lot and to me, they are just robots in the cartoon!

Although the plot is still about “The triumph of good over evil” and “How Transformers live along with Humans“, I believe that a lot of us would just want to see how Micheal Bay bring our favourite cartoon characters to life.

The theme song: Arrival to Earth is one of the best songs in the soundtrack from this movie. Composed by Steve Jablonsky, it sounds like when Optimus Prime and his team are ready for the battle.

This piano sheet is in its original key, i.e. C Minor and later transposes to D Minor. You will experience a gradual step-up in key transposition from Bar 21 to 31 until it finally settles down at D Minor, which is at Bar 32.

As usual, chords are included. No lyrics because the Transformers don’t sing (Except Bumble Bee who can sing with his radio).

I know, this is so lame. Sorry guys~

I have designed two piano sheets in fact, one simple piano sheet for all and another more rounded transcription which is meant for 3 hands. Of course, you can choose to play 2 lines out of the 3.

Perhaps a little preview on the TRIO VERSION?

As this trio version is originally designed for more instruments, Ah Doe had sacrificed her 2 sleepless nights to produce this piece of work. If you do appreciate my effort, please help to contribute to my small little piggy bank.

Price: USD 10.00

The complete piano sheet and its demo (In MP3 Format) will be emailed to you upon purchase. Should you have any questions regarding the purchase, please visit this page: How to purchase piano sheets from www.ahdoe.com? or email callme@ahdoe.com

However, if you opt for the simple version, which is free for download, you can directly click the link below:
