Chinese New Year is coming to town…

January 25th, 2008 by Ah Doe

You better watch out…

You better not cry…

To cut in short, Ah Doe is going to tell you why…

Chinese New Year is coming to town! Hip Hip Hurray!

When Chinese New Year is around the corner, red lanterns are everywhere, ang pows are also everywhere (Difference is whether it is empty…), people are dwelling into markets to buy mandarin oranges and nice food for this festive season and New Year songs are in the air.

Happy Mandarin Orange

Greetings from Happy Mandarin Orange

Girls are considering to slim down in order to accomodate more calories, they gave themselves a brand new new year objective and put it in the first priority – to give their best shot to be pretty so that they have the courage to show up in front of their friends and relatives during Chinese new year. (Yaya, I am one of them)

So, if you can’t see me during this period, that will mean that my I missed my target or deadline… 🙁

Well, a happy contribution from Ah Doe for this 2008 Chinese New Year, a famous lunar new year song sung by Yao Min (姚敏)and Yao Li (姚莉). The Yao-s are famous with their musical talent. They are in fact real brother and sister, featuring Yao Min as the composer and Yao Li as the singer.

Guess what, the famous “Wishing You Happiness and Prosperity” or best known as “Gong Xi Gong Xi” is one of their masterpieces. If you want to heat up the Chinese New Year atmosphere, you can always play this song when you party at your friends’ house.

Doraemon Theme

December 12th, 2007 by Ah Doe

Have I told you lately, that…I like Doraemon?

Doraemon Start

That’s the only comic that I know how to read till now even it is not labeled with number sequence. I am not sure why, but I guess Doraemon is more “children-friendly”, and that perfectly suits my childish character sometimes. Doraemon is so popular that their episodes co-exist with different languages: Japanese (Of course), Chinese, Malay, Cantonese etc.

Remember the famous “Ang Ang Ang” Doraemon tune as well? There was a not-so-funny joke related to its tune as well…

Question: What is Doraemon’s favourite colour?
Answer: Red…

If you wonder why…

Doraemon repeatedly sang “Ang Ang Ang” in its theme. Well, problem is, “Ang” means red in Hokkien..

See, I told you it is not funny at all…

Since we talked all the way to its tune, perhaps you are interested in the piano sheet as well.

Idiot Piano Sheet (from Princess Hour Korean Drama)

November 27th, 2007 by Ah Doe

Tadah~~ Ah Doe is finally back in action again!

Several weeks before a major change in my life, I was actually addicted to a Korean Drama called Princess Hour (宫,我的野蛮王妃). I was considered to be in a “lovestruck” stage even after finishing this drama. That was then I started to google about the leading actors and actresses (Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye).

The storyline was a breakthrough (at least I thought so) compared to the old-fashioned “Love me, love me not” script. Its costume is also another thing that we can pay attention to.

“Princess Hour” fully utilizes Korean traditional musical instruments in their OST composition this time in order to depict the life and atmosphere of a royal family. However, my interest is in its sentimental song, which is played when the leading actress feels sad.

Weeping terribly in a guy’s arm…handsome one somemore….oh~

It’s called: I AM AN IDIOT!

(Sounds as if I am telling you that I am an idiot~)

Let’s have a look at Idiot’s piano sheet preview:

Now, we have a GOOD news and a BAD news:

Good news comes first: This song is in its original key!! (Hip hip hooray~~)

Bad news (*Drums rolling*) : It is in B Flat Major, and transposes to B Major!! That means, you will play the song with two black notes at the beginning, and five black notes before its ending!!

Well, maybe it’s not so bad, but still….

Good Luck and Have Fun!!
