Halloween/ Hungry Ghost Month Special: The Piano Duet from Corpse Bride
I watched Corpse Bride several years ago.
At first I was prepared for something frightening from it but I thought Tim Burton would keep it mild because this is an animation after all and so many children would be watching it.
Towards its end I realized that it’s a nostalgic love story. Animated one of course.
Seriously, I love its story line and its soundtrack.
Especially this piano duet by Emily the ghost (Voice by Helena Bonham Carter) and Victor the human (Voice by Johnny Depp).
The Piano Duet from Corpse Bride Piano Sheet Preview
This is the first duet that I’ve ever created. Although I have done something more complicated than this, I’ve never underestimated the challenge.
This piano sheet:
1) Is in original key: C Major and Bb Major
2) No lyrics, no chords. Why do you need these for something instrumental by the way?
3) Marked the two sections with “Victor” and “Emily” so that you’ll know which part you’d be playing.
And this is how it sounds like on your piano, if you have four hands or if you gather another pair of hands.
