AhDoe – Music as an International Language

Other than Game of Thrones, Daredevil (Starring Charlie Cox, oh yeah he is the one who acted in Stardust. See piano sheet from Stardust.) is another show that I am watching. It all started when someone told me that the good reviews for the first season were close to 100% so I decided to give it a try.

The fights scenes are so real (Some of them are really violent honestly), dialogues are intriguing (May need subtitles due to extensive usage of law terms) and the chicks (Deborah Ann Woll especially) are hot!

The less than one minute opening title is awesome. I would give the orchestral transcription work a try one day but the piano sheet I am giving out for free today should be good enough for most piano players.

About this piano sheet:

1) It’s in C minor
2) Use pedal a lot for echo effects
3) Instrumental therefore no lyrics

Not many people know that I play Yangqin.

The problem is: They may not even know what is a Yangqin.

“Hi, my name is qin, yangqin.”

I started learning Yangqin when I was 13. I didn’t even remember why I chose that instrument, I just felt that I prefer an instrument that can range well between treble and bass.

In an open performance years ago, a Caucasian went up to me and asked me what I am playing. I told him: “It’s Yangqin, or sometimes we called it the “Butterfly Hut“. If someone ask me again today, I will add another more professional term for it: “In Western countries, it’s a dulcimer“.
