The Shanghai Bund
Long ban~ Long lao~ (浪奔,浪æµ~)
You’re right, I am in Shanghai.
I really feel like singing the legendary “Shanghai Bund” (上海滩) when I’m at the bund enjoying the nice view. The sailing boats really make Shanghai so Shanghai when they pass by the signature buildings:
Ah Doe has prepared one piano sheet for the ocassion:
The Shanghai Bund (上海滩) Piano Sheet Preview
Although this is not a new song, it’s considered a classic. It’s the theme song for the drama of the same name, in which Chow Yun Fatt (周润å‘) played the leading role.
Please download the complete piano sheet of The Shanghai Bund (上海滩) here.
This piano sheet is in C Major, i.e. the original key. Lyrics and chords included, difficulty level is moderate.
I have to cut short my elaboration on this piano sheet because I’m in a hurry…

I found you years ago, and you provided music. Now I have, not sheet music, but many songs in pinyin to sing Chinese karaoke at my New York senior center. Shanghai Tan was my first song to sing (when I didn’t know difference between Mandarin and Cantonese—still don’t). I’m happy to now find you again. Hoping you keep up your good work, but also enjoy life where you are.
