Silly by Sherman Chung/Ken Hung (傻瓜- 鍾舒漫/洪卓立)Piano Sheet

Friday, November 11th, 2016

This is a simple and romantic song suitable for wedding or proposal. The tune is simple but the lyrics best describes a couple’s feeling when they are about to enter marriage.

Wedding Bands Picture

Anticipation, anxiety, a little fear but most of all, it describes the mutual love for each other and their looking forward of sharing their future.

Boy: I won’t act silly if I hadn’t look into your eyes that can speak
Girl: This is the reason why I decide to keep your flowers and believe every single thing you say

Boy: You make my heart beat faster and want to kiss your cheeks
Girl: And I close my eyes and dream of those romantic moments with you

Boy: Do you think of me too?
Girl: Are you like me as well?
Boy: If love really arrives
Together: Will we accept it together?

Boy: I am a silly, the rain drizzles, the breeze whistles
Girl: Still feel a little scared when I think of the future
Boy: I will be with you every today
Girl: But will you fall in love with another tomorrow?

Girl: Shall we get set for the unknown journey ahead of us?
Together: Wherever it is, from youth till our hair turns grey
Girl: I just hope that you
Boy: I just hope that you
Together: Would still call me your silly

Boy: I am a silly, the rain drizzles, the breeze whistles
Girl: Still feel a little scared when I think of the future
Boy: I will give you a home, although not big
Girl: But it is big enough to contain our dreams

Together: We have been smart all this while, but would rather become silly for you

Lea Salonga’s Two Words Music Score with Violin and Cello

Saturday, March 13th, 2010

There were requests to have this song written with violin and cello part. To be honest, I seldom listen back to my works after I’ve posted the sheets online. I’ll be always looking forward to new songs ahead.

Seeing that there are some requests for this song, I’ve included these two new instruments and left the piano accompaniment untouched.

This is the preview of this music score:

Love of My Life – Jim Brickman (Request)

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

When I see this request, I thought it is Emil Chou’s version of Love of My Life. I googled and found that there are more. There is another song of this name by Queen.

Jim Brickman’s version however, is always the all-time favourite for pianists.

Jim Brickman Love of My Life album

It’s a shame to confess that I only knew Jim Brickman through a compilation album that I’ve bought in Singapore 5 years back. Even that time I did not pay much attention to his song because there are other nice songs in that album.

Maybe it’s because that song isn’t “Love of My Life”. Had this song been included in that album, I might have been in love with him since then.

To my relief, this song is not as difficult as I expected. It would be a very good example of a well composed song without complicated arrangement.

About this piano sheet:

1) It’s in original key: C Major and transposes to Eb Major briefly.

2) Lyrics and chords are included.

3) Vocal solo and piano accompaniment are separated into 2 parts.

It’s a good choice to perform this song during wedding banquets (It’d be better if the bride and groom perform it). Fear not, the piano sheet is ready for you to practise:

Two Words by Lea Salonga – By Request

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

Now this is another request from one of my readers.

I suddenly had a feeling that my readers have good tastes in song selection. In the end I got all the best song recommendations from them.

Before Mei suggested me to transcribe Two Songs by Lea Salonga, I didn’t even know who is Lea Salonga…what a shame! The worst is, I didn’t even know that she was the one who sang “A Whole New World” from Aladdin, “Colours of the Wind” from Pocahontas and “Reflection” from Mulan!

Lea Salonga

One thing good about running AhDoe.com, I really learn a lot from my readers. 🙂

Lea Salonga is from Phillipines. She speaks really good English and sings really well that she made her way through the broadway theatre!

If you’d like to listen to her, and if you are in or near Singapore, you can watch the Cinderella Musical Tour in which Lea Salonga plays the role of Cinderella!

“Two Words” seems to be an all time favourite, especially during wedding ceremonies. Now I can add one more song to “Songs to be played in wedding ceremonies
